We the people ….
1776: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”
1787: “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, …...”
1863: "Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.”
1942: “….indivisible, with liberty and justice for all”

Isn’t it time to demonstrate not just declare the progress, “walk the talk”, “put our money where our mouth is”, LIVE the ideal? The Podcast Scene On Radio - Season 4 - The Land that Never Has Been Yet, really deepened my thinking on being a citizen of the United States of America. I love the ideal of this country, or at least what I believe the ideals to be, and I have never felt alone in that love. I’ve had the privilege of living in another country and traveling to many others. This country is where I choose to call home and maintain my citizenry. I am disappointed in the contradictions between our “declared ideals” and the systemic realities. I believe as we truly explore what we value versus what we do WE THE PEOPLE can correct the systems which may mean dismantling many of them and building new but I believe WE can if WE work together. Let’s “Nike” - aka “Just Do It”!
